ZA’ATAR GRILLED SHRIMP & SUMMER SALAD

Za’atar seasoning is my absolute favorite, it works in so many types of dishes!  I love using it to season fish with just some EVOO and lemon, it’s such a simple and fresh combo that never disappoints.  These za’atar grilled shrimp kebabs are full of flavor and go perfectly with a salad full of fresh seasonal veggies!  This is really the perfect summer meal, absolutely packed with flavor and nutrients!


INGREDIENTS

For the Za’atar Grilled Shrimp
3 skewers
9 pieces raw shrimp peeled & deveined tail on
½ bell pepper chopped
¼ red onion chopped
1 tbsp EVOO
Juice of ½ a lemon
1 tbsp A Spice Affair’s Za’atar Seasoning (Wellness Flavor Booster Kit)

For the Za’atar Summer Salad
1 avocado
1 large beefsteak tomato 
1 cucumber
⅓ red onion
1 tbsp EVOO
Juice of ½ a lemon
1 tbsp A Spice Affair’s Za’atar Seasoning


PREPARATION
For the Za’atar Grilled Shrimp

  1. Place shrimp in a dish, drizzle EVOO, lemon juice, and za’atar. 
  2. Let marinate for 20 minutes or a few hours in the fridge. 
  3. Build your skewers by alternating veggies and shrimp, 3 pieces of shrimp per skewer.
  4. Grill a few minutes on each side until cooked through.

For the Za’atar Summer Salad

  1. Chop tomato, cucumbers and red onion and add to a large bowl. 
  2. Drizzle with EVOO, lemon juice, and sprinkle Za’atar.  
  3. Mix well to coat the veggies.  
  4. Chop avocado, add to the bowl and toss again. 

Serve these dishes together for a delicious and refreshing summer meal!
