INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg lean ground beef
- 2 large white onion, diced
- 4 cloves crushed garlic
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2.5 tbsp Nonna’s Spaghetti Seasoning A Spice Affair
- 1 tsp Chili Crisp Oil Infusion & Seasoning A Spice Affair
- 3 jars (32oz) tomato sauce (recipe in previous post)
- Salt to taste
- 900 gr mozzarella, shredded
- 1 box lasagna noodles, boiled to package instructions
PREPARATION
Meat sauce
- On medium-high heat, cook onions in olive oil until translucent.
- Add in garlic and sauté for a few seconds.
- Add in ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add in tomatoes & seasonings and stir until combined.
- Cover and reduce to medium/medium low. Allow to simmer for 30-45 minutes stirring occasionally.
Assemble
- In a baking dish, add sauce to the base. Add noodles, making sure not to overlap. Top with sauce, and some mozzarella.
- Repeat steps until you’ve almost reached the top of your dish.
- Spray a sheet of aluminum foil with cooking spray and cover dish. Bake on the middle rack at 375F for 1 hour. Remove foil and broil for 2 minutes until cheese is golden.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 15-20 minutes before cutting. Enjoy!
