INGREDIENTS
Kaftah Burger Patties
- 600 g minced beef or lamb (with at least 10% fat)
- 1 tbsp Kafta Seasoning
- ½ teaspoon Pink Himalayan Salt
- ¼ cup parsley, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp pomegranate molasses (optional)
Tahini Lemon Sauce
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup Tahini
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- Pink Himalayan Salt, to taste
- ¼ cup water
For Serving
- Parsley, roughly chopped
- Mixed greens
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced and sautéed
- Fries (optional)
- Lemon wedges
- 4 burger buns
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a small bowl or blender, combine the tahini sauce ingredients (except water) until smooth. Slowly add the water until you get the desired consistency
- Mix all beef patty ingredients in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Form the mixture into 4 even patties
- Preheat the BBQ grill or cook top to medium-high heat. In a large pan, cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side
- Toast the burger buns for 1 minute each side
- Finally, spread tahini lemon sauce on the toasted buns and layer with beef patty, tomato, sautéed onions, fries, mixed greens and parsley with a squeeze of lemon
