This burger means business. Caramelized onion sauce, sautéed mushrooms, melty cheese… and garlic parmesan fries to top it all off. Homemade, but restaurant-worthy 🤤
Ingredients
For the burgers

300 g ground beef

1 tbsp THE ONE All-Purpose Butcher’s Seasoning A Spice Affair

2 sesame brioche buns

2 slices of melting cheese (provolone, mozzarella, or mild cheddar)

A few crisp lettuce leaves

4 large mushrooms (portobello or cremini), sliced

1 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt and pepper
For the Caramelized Onion Sauce

2 tbsp mayonnaise
-
1 tbsp sour cream (or plain yogurt)

1 tbsp Caramelized Onion Dip & Burger Seasoning A Spice Affair

Fresh chives (for garnish)
For the Garlic Parmesan fries

2 large firm-flesh potatoes
-
1 tbsp vegetable oil
-
1 tbsp (or more to taste) Garlic Parmesan Style Vegan Seasoning A Spice Affair

Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
Preparation
1. Garlic Parmesan Fries
Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Wash and cut the potatoes into wedges or thick fries. Toss with vegetable oil and spread out on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for about 30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. Immediately sprinkle with Garlic Parmesan Style Vegan Seasoning A Spice Affair and toss to coat. Add fresh parsley if desired.
2. Caramelized Onion Sauce
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, and Caramelized Onion Dip & Burger Seasoning A Spice Affair. Chill until ready to use. Top with chopped chives just before serving.
3. Patties and Mushrooms
In a bowl, combine ground beef with THE ONE All-Purpose Butcher’s Seasoning A Spice Affair and form into two patties.
Grill or pan-fry over medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt.
In a separate skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the mushrooms until golden and slightly caramelized. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Burger Assembly
Toast the brioche buns. Spread caramelized onion sauce on the bottom half, then layer with lettuce, the cheesy beef patty, and sautéed mushrooms. Close with the top bun, also spread with sauce.
5. To Serve
Serve immediately with the hot Garlic Parmesan fries and a small ramekin of caramelized onion sauce for dipping.
