For the steak

  • 1 large steak (ribeye, côte de bœuf or entrecôte), 500–800 g

  • 1 to 2 tbsp Butcher's Secret Seasoning A Spice Affair

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

  • Freshly ground black pepper (optional)

Preparation

1. Season and rest

Rub the steak generously with Butcher's Secret Seasoning A Spice Affair, drizzle with olive oil and massage the seasoning in. Let the steak rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

2. Grill and serve

Preheat BBQ or cast-iron skillet over high heat. Grill the steak 2–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (longer if thicker). Let rest under foil for 5–10 minutes, then slice against the grain. Serve with a potato salad or grilled veggies.

Pro Tip

Top with a small pat of butter just before serving for an extra gourmet touch.
