Soft, fluffy and covered in creamy frosting 🤎 These Classic Cinnamon Rolls get an extra boost of flavour from our Apple Pie Spice, a perfectly balanced blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom. Sweet, spiced and irresistibly gooey, they’re perfect for breakfast, brunch or dessert!

INGREDIENTS

For the Dough:

  • 3/4 cup (180 mL) warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk

PREPARATION

1. Prepare the dough

Combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a large bowl. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes, until foamy. Add the egg and melted butter and mix well.

Gradually add the flour and salt. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

2. Prepare the filling

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar with the Apple Pie Spice A Spice Affair.

3. Assemble the rolls

Roll the dough into a large rectangle. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with the brown sugar and spice mixture.

Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 9 even rolls and arrange them in a greased baking dish.

4. Let rise

Cover and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes, until soft and puffy.

5. Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 22 to 27 minutes, or until lightly golden and baked through.

6. Prepare the cream cheese glaze

Beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla, then gradually add the milk until smooth and spreadable.

7. Glaze and serve

Spread the cream cheese glaze generously over the rolls while they are still slightly warm. Serve and enjoy!
