TUNISIAN TABEL SEASONING BULK
My main ingredient is coriander, hence my name "tabel" in Tunisian. Traditionally, my mixture is composed of 4 spices: coriander, caraway, garlic and chilli. But you can add a lot of other spices and each family has its own special recipe and produces enough to have a pinch on hand all year round.
In Algeria, tabel is very much used to season chakchouka or kaldis but it can also be used in meat, stews and vegetable dishes!
Ingredients: coriander, garlic, caraway, salt (5%), red pepper, ginger, bay leaves, mint, black pepper, rose, safflower.
